Small Business “SHOP” Exchanges Delayed Until November

Share

The Obama Administration announced Thursday that the roll out of the  Small Business Health Care marketplaces known as the “SHOP” will be delayed until at least November.  Although the coverage would not be effective until January, the on-line exchanges were to open October 1.

This is the latest setback for the roll out of the major provisions of the Affordable Care Act.  Opponents of the law see this delay as just another reason the effective date should be delayed.
